ABOUT POWERWORX SOLAR & ELECTRICAL
Powerworx has been in the electrical industry since 2006 as electrical contractors and has build up experience in a broad range of fields. From management and control of factories big machinery to the small household installations.
Since the beginning of the load shedding, we have been actively involved in the power backup industry and have done projects on the whole range of backup solutions from generators to UPS / Inverters and now also in the solar industry.
Due to our exposure in the field we see a lot of installations, and we get called in when things go “wrong” to save a project. Sadly, a lot of money and time is lost by not getting the right expertise in from the beginning to plan and execute a solar project properly.
Solar is a relatively new market and a lot of businesses who are not from the electrical industry jumped in to capitalize on the opportunity. One need to bear in mind though that a Solar installation at its very heart is a very technical electrical project where major changes to the electrical installation are done. It is not the place for unqualified installers.
Powerworx is uniquely positioned because we have both a wide and in depth understanding of the Electrical and Solar industry. We have done both Big (Over the Megawatt size) to the small household size solar installations, both as sub-contractors for electrical engineering companies and our own inhouse projects.
We also provide a turnkey solution for network installations. Data, telephone and power points in a neat trunking or power skirting. We install switches, cabinets, and data points. Professionally done and labelled for easy maintenance.
We also do electrical certificate inspections (COC) and will repair and issue Certificates on premises that passes the test as laid down by the Department of labour. (Occupational Health And Safety Act, 1993)
